Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2010 im Fachbereich Germanistik - Neuere Deutsche Literatur, Note: 1, Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: „Amalia von Edelreich teilt das Los aller Schillerschen Frauengestalten, sofern sie nicht den Vorteil haben, zugleich Titelfigur eines Dramas zu sein: sie blieb unbeachtet, beargwöhnt, belächelt […].“ In der Tat wird sie sowohl im Stück als auch in vielen Inszenierungen oft als eine naive, stereotyp weibliche, passive Gestalt, der es an Komplexität und Aktivität fehlt, dargestellt. Besonders im Vergleich zu den anderen Figuren des Stückes, ist sie eher eine „wirkungslose“ Gestalt, weil sie die Handlung direkt kaum beeinflusst. Ein Mangel an Aktivität hat aber nicht unbedingt zur Folge, dass eine Figur nicht komplex ist oder noch weniger, dass sie keine bedeutende Rolle im gesamten Stück spielt. In der vorliegenden Hausarbeit soll der Versuch unternommen werden, Amalia als eine viel komplexere Figur, als es auf den ersten Blick scheint, zu rechtfertigen.
