Würden diese erfolgsneutralen Gewinne und Verluste ausnahmslos in der GuV erfasst, wären die Jahresergebnisse der DAX 100 insgesamt negativ ausgefallen.

Ziel dieser Arbeit ist die umfassende Darstellung des other comprehensive income nach International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) und deren Folgen für Kennzahlen und Bilanzanalyse. Dabei soll zunächst die inhaltliche Bedeutung des Kongruenzprinzips und deren Funktion im Hinblick auf Rechnungswesen und Bilanzgefüge aufgezeigt werden. Im Weite-ren werden die Rechnungslegungssysteme nach HGB, US-GAAP und IFRS untersucht und deren Kongruenzdurchbrechungen erläutert. In allen drei Rechnungslegungssystemen wird die clean surplus relation mit der Konsequenz erfolgsneutraler Eigenkapitalveränderungen durchbrochen.
Im Anschluss erfolgt in Kapitel 4 die ausführliche Darstellung der Bestandteile des other comprehensive income nach IFRS. Für diese Bearbeitung wurden die nach derzeitiger Rechtslage gültigen Rechnungslegungsstandards und Interpretationen zugrunde gelegt.
Da ein Teil der unrealisierten Gewinne und Verluste in späteren Perioden erfolgswirksam realisiert wird, erfolgt in Kapitel 5 die Erläuterung des income recycling. Ziel ist es, die Bestandteile des OCI nach dem Kriterium des Recycling zu klassifizieren und dessen verschiedene Erfolgsauswirkungen zu untersuchen. Kapitel 6 widmet sich abschließend der Analyseproblematik des OCI. Welchen Einfluss haben erfolgsneutral erfasste Gewinne und Verluste auf den Zeit- und Betriebsvergleich der Jahresabschlüsse? Insbesondere stellt sich die Frage nach einem grundsätzlich eigenständigen Analyseansatz und inwieweit modifizierte oder gar neue Kennzahlen die Beurteilung des
other comprehensive income ermöglichen.
