Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2006 im Fachbereich Soziologie - Klassiker und Theorierichtungen, Note: 2,3, Technische Universität Dresden, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Die hier vorliegende Hausarbeit befasst sich mit der Begründung der Soziologie in Frankreich, Deutschland und den USA und behandelt deren individuellen Motive, die zwar in den jeweils einzelnen Ländern unterschiedlich waren jedoch alle, beeinflusst durch den geschichtlichen Hintergrund, unter ähnlichen Vorzeichen standen. Diese Hausarbeit ist somit mehr als eine bloße voneinander getrennte Aufzählung der Gründe die für die jeweilige Entstehung und Entwicklung der Soziologie in dem entsprechenden Land ausschlaggebend waren, sondern sie will vielmehr den geschichtlichen Gesamtzusammenhang, unter dem sich die Soziologie als Wissenschaft Ende des 19.- und zu Beginn des 20. Jahrhunderts in den so genannten modernen westlichen Staaten verbreitete, aufzeigen. Dies kann natürlich nicht ohne eine gewisse Einführung und, freilich nur kurze, Beschreibung der zentralen Theorien der für das entsprechende Land wichtigsten Autoren und Soziologen geschehen und selbstverständlich müssen auch diese im Gesamtzusammenhang betrachtet werden da sich auch die soziologischen Theorien und deren Urheber nicht ohne jedes Zutun von Außen und ohne sich gegenseitig zu beeinflussen, entstanden sind.
Dennoch ist der Hauptteil dieser Arbeit, der zum besseren Verständnis in drei Abschnitte aufgeteilt ist, wobei jeder Abschnitt die Begründung der Soziologie in einem Land behandelt, vordergründig eine Zusammentragung der, für die Entstehung der Soziologie im jeweiligen Land, ausschlaggebenden Hintergründe und Gegebenheiten die sich auf jeweils eine zentrale Frage oder auf ein zentrales Problem zusammenfassen lässt.
