Dieses Prinzip fasziniert zahlreiche Wissenschaftler aus verschiedensten Bereichen – Soziologie, Anthropologie, Psychologie, aber auchWirtschaftswissenschaften, Mathematik, Biologie... Abhängig von der Disziplin ist die auch verschieden definierbar. Das Vorhaben dieser Arbeit ist zwei Perspektiven der Reziprozität, nämlich die spieltheoretische und die sozialpsychologische, zu Analysieren und sie miteinander zu konfrontieren. Warum gerade die beiden? Weil sich die beiden relativ jungen (beide sind erst in dem zweiten Viertel des zwanzigsten Jahrhundert entstanden) Disziplinen mit der Analyse menschlicher Entscheidungen beschäftigen und dabei von den ziemlich unterschiedlichen Menschenbilder ausgehen. Während wir in der Spieltheorie mit dem völlig rational handelnden, Nutzen maximierenden homo oeconomicus zu tun haben, ist er in der Sozialpsychologie animal sociale, nicht mehr so rational, empfänglich für Manipulation und Einfluss. Es ist also zu prüfen, ob sich dieser Verhaltensmuster auch auf den Umgang mit der Reziprozität übertragen lässt und welche sind dessen Konsequenzen.
